our story

In 1982, Earl Estep along with his daughter Diane became commissioned sales agents for two carriers.  Earl had over fifteen years experience in the trucking industry working for several LTL trucking companies at that time.  Ten years later, after purchasing 6 trucks and ten 48 foot van trailers, Earl incorporated the business and established Estep Express Inc. in 1992.  The Department of Transportation issued a 48 State Interstate Operating Authority to Estep Express Inc. at that time.

Estep Express Inc. has continued to expand thru the years and maneuver the ups and downs and curves of the economy and the changing landscape of the trucking industry. Today the company has over 40 trucks, 2 terminals and over 130 trailers. Earl is still the owner and continues to manage every aspects of the business. He is the first one in the office every morning and the last one to leave; making all the final dispatch & sales decisions.

Earl knows each one of his drivers by name and believes it is important to maintain more than just a strictly professional relationship with all his staff. "We know our drivers by name not a number."  His daughter is the oldest employee at the company with a few drivers coming in as close seconds. This type of family owned style of business ensures Estep Express Inc. meets the high standards of service to their customers and stay the leading locally owned Mansfield transportation company.
